Quality education should be available to ALL South Dakotans – from pre-K to post-high school. Our teachers should be fairly compensated.  South Dakota shouldn't be ranked at the bottom any longer!  Our state legislature has failed to make educational opportunities a priority, and I’ll work to change that by:      

• Valuing our teachers

• Advocating for competitive teacher pay

• Offering early childhood education options

• Making college education more affordable

• Seeking opportunity and equality for all

South Dakota is home to globally recognized best-in-class hospitals. But healthcare coverage without sky-high premiums or deductibles is out of reach for too many South Dakotans.

Hard-working South Dakotans shouldn’t live in a world where medical expenses, eldercare, or health emergencies can bankrupt families.

In the South Dakota Senate, I will fight to:

• Expand healthcare coverage for everyday people and families working hard to make ends meet

• Support full and safe access to healthcare for pregnant people and their families

South Dakotans need a dynamic business environment with quality opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship and growth – where everyone has the chance to work hard and thrive.  It’s time South Dakota’s  economy capitalizes on our changing world.  

In Pierre I will work to:

• Address the lack of affordable  childcare in South Dakota

• Fight for affordable housing

• Minimize the  increasing cost of living faced by South Dakotans
